On to Tokyo

Last night was our Farewell dinner. An evening enjoyed by all. With song and good food, memories and plans. The beginning of the trip seems so far away now. So much has been experienced. Today will be Shinkansen to Tokyo, an over night mad rush to cram in the last of Japan then home to San Jose. To family and friends. To remembering and sharing memories.

morning all!

thanks for a memorable trip. it was a great experience and I'm sure ALL of the kids are busy writing their reports (hah!). Maybe next trip someplace truly exotic: alviso? los gatos? maybe a tour of the fresno/stockton churches (heheheh).

anyone working on their photos? (aside from bob and gary, of course)

got to bed around 9:00. exhausted but full of tacos. seems that I've gotten used to a smaller portion size. now up, tired, but cannot sleep....eeeeehhhhhh....

I went to bed I think before 11pm... I over slept but made it into work today. I feel ok other than waking up late.

The return trip went great. Having two Wednesdays was better! :)

I have pictures from Rob and some from Cyndi, Eric J, Thomas and someone else. If I can collect photos from other people too; I can burn then onto DVDs for people.

I will try to organize mine based on the date and events.

Thanks again to all of the trip organizers. I know I had a blast and it was a very enjoyable trip.

I also want to take the time to thank everyone, but especially the Junior Choir and the Trip Committee for a great trip!

As for our next trip, (and taking Curtis's suggestion), I would like to suggest Lumbini. (That's in India, like in the Gatha... (^o^) Japanese smiley)

I was really tired... but after 9 could't sleep, (passed out around 11) then overslept! But finally made it to work though and my 2000 emails(!)

While eating spam though last night, I got a hankering for zarusoba!! Go figure!

hah! I feel worse as the day goes on. I went to Mistuwa and stocked up on pocari sweat, ion water, c.c. lemon, melon creme soda and had dinner at Shin's Sushi just so I could have curry. I've noticed that the united states is a loud place and that we need more vending machines!

also, looking for a new watch since my wristband disintegrated in Japan (too much sweat).

It's been two weeks, but memories continue to linger. I can't believe how comfortable the weather here in San Jose is, and I have a new found appreciation for how wide the roads are.

One other thing that I miss are the Japanese TV shows. We fell in love with Pitagora Switchi (Pythagoras Switch), Algorithm Taiso,Jyakeen and Zenmai Zamurai, not to mention the shows that we were already familiar with (Naruto, IQ Sapuri, NepLeague.

In fact, Kyle and I do the Algorithm Taiso every day!
